Abstract
Adaptability analysis is an important link in urban rail transit network planning. Not only the static adaptability of the existing network to surrounding environments but also the dynamic adaptability of the existing network to future network change is required to be analyzed in the planning. In this paper, based on an analysis of adaptability research status at home and abroad, dynamic adaptability of urban rail transit network is researched in terms of network scale, network arrangement, network structure, network level, and transport hub design. Through the research, the network with relative adaptability is identified and the problems which it may meet in the future as well as some measures and suggestions for network expansion are put forward in the paper, providing guarantee for the openness, expansibility, and sustainable development of urban rail transit network.
