Abstract
The combination of coarse graining and inclined plates sedimentation tank was used to remove oil and suspended solid from oilfield produced water. The effect of different coalescence fillers and space between the inclined plates on the removal rate of oil and suspended solid was investigated in this paper. The results showed that the coalescence efficiency of regular filler was better than that of granular filler. The coalescence efficiency of stainless steel corrugated plates was similar to that of PVC which was better than that of ceramic corrugated plates. For the granular filler, polypropylene was better than ceramic. Coarse graining could improve the oil removal rate, but it had adverse impact on the removal rate of suspended solid. Inclined plates sedimentation was helpful to the removal of oil and suspended solid.
