Impact analysis of financial crisis on Chinas railway with life cycle theory

This paper aims to assess the impact of financial crisis on China´s railway. On the basis of seasonal and trend analysis on railway transportation and investment it is shown that, even though the financial crisis reduces the turnover, it makes a great deal of contribution to the investment on railway. Then a macro-analysis on China´s railway´s life cycle is conducted to predict its possible life cycle curve, followed by the fuzzy recognition, where a membership function is established for obtaining its current life cycle stage. According to this paper, in general term, the financial crisis has promoted the development of China´s railway and has accelerated its transition from the growth stage to the maturity stage.
