Abstract :
Distribution transformer is the fundamental component of power distribution system as it has many advantages, however, it has been more and more unable to meet the nowadays requirements of power quality, especially in the renewable energy field. Different topologies of power electronic transformer (PET) are proposed to meet different requirements for different applications. This paper has done a detailed analysis of the operating principle modulation and demodulation mode of the three-phase single-stage matrix converter for PET. It finds that the voltage amplitude regulating range is only 0.5∼1. The lowest angular frequency order of the transformer voltage turns ωs-ωi when the duty ratio of each switch is set equally. Simulation results identify the analysis.
