Analysis and optimization techniques that are being successfully applied to nonlinear microwave circuits are reviewed and contrasted. These techniques include time domain, harmonic balance, and power series. Examples including power amplifier intermodulation analysis and oscillator design have been considered. Some comments are made on possible future directions
