Abstract :
At the end of 1997, Auxilec built, successfully tested a 150 kVA homopolar generator and integrated it in a turbo-engine manufactured by Microturbo. The generator ran at 56,000 RPM and provided a regulated 750 VDC rectified output. The generator/turbo engine assembly supplied a resistive load with 135 kW for more than 7 hours during the endurance test. The test program also included successful starting of the engine by the homopolar generator
