Abstract :
The web has becomes an information source for data gathering. Because of the vast amounts of information, people must rely on the search engine. But search engines on the Web have low overlap in terms of coverage. In this study we apply query processing and result optimization returned by multiple search engines to improve effectiveness of Chinese user for Internet information. Our method is based on a term-weighting scheme, which integrates different location and emphasized identifier of query terms and their combination in Webpage. Data collection from several Chinese search engines is re-ranked through comparing score in weighting schemes of full document and elimination to inefficient webpage. In this process, returned data is transferred and stored in virtue of XML document. The re-ranking result was measured to determine the validity of the irrelative html result set and the relative html result set, and their ranking. The research showed that this term-weighting scheme is highly necessary and quite feasible to relative ranking of webpage.
