Abstract
Field tests were conducted to determine the effect of bypassed coils on a hydroelectric generator´s electrical operating capability, following the failure of three stator winding coils. Unbalanced split-phase stator winding currents were measured, along with stator and rotor winding temperatures. Field test results are presented and compared to calculated values
