Abstract
The authors apply a combination of optimization techniques to the components´ values and their tolerance assignment of feedback loops in switching regulators to achieve maximum production yield with minimum component cost. An accurate model is chosen for the simulation of switching regulator circuits. Three phases of the optimization process are outlined through a numerical example on a switching regulator employing a half-bridge converter. The results show the effectiveness of the CAD (computer-aided design) technique
