Abstract :
The author considers the use of specialized computing methods in the design of analog systems. Such systems are characterized by simultaneous sets of relations which are nonlinear in the controlling system parameters. These relations are also typically subject to constraints imposed by the physical parameters of the components used, and also the design specifications which must be met. The design method described consists of an iterative approach involving computational tools which implement optimization and symbolic analysis. Such an approach permits a desirably high degree of designer interaction in the application of the method
