Abstract :
The advantages and limitations of spread spectrum systems and adaptive array antennas with respect to interference rejection are discussed, and the merits of integrating the two approaches to are shown. Both can reject interference automatically without knowing its source or direction but each is vulnerable to certain types of interference under certain conditions. It is shown that the two are both compatible and complementary
