Abstract :
Fitting geological curved surface is the key link for 3D geological modeling, traditional methods fit the surface without taking account into the complexity of geological data, and can´t process discontinuous data efficiently. Discrete smooth interpolation (DSI) is proposed based on a discrete model, each geological datum is turned into a linear constraint, the values of Interpolation-Nodes are obtained by solving discrete smooth equations. In this paper, with making in-depth research on DSI method, we present a new approach to fit geological surface. Finally, a example of applications is taken for showing that this approach has favorable reliability and practicability.
