Abstract :
Effective path planning is very important to improve the measure efficiency and security of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). In order to apply ACO to measure path planning, some key technologies such as establishment of relationship matrix and search of valid path were solved through thorough researches to CMM path planning and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). Based on this, an ACO-Based multiple geometric elements measure path planning for CMM, which is more suitable for digitalization of parts with complex construction, was presented. At last, the measure path planning of supercharger impeller was implemented with this approach. These two examples demonstrate that the path planning algorithm is efficient, secure, and robust.
