  • Abstract
Introduces the concept of a structured deformable model and presents its application to 3D medical image segmentation. A structured deformable model is composed of a group of basic shape elements. The model can fit a biological shape by changing the characteristics of its elements. An application to bone joint modeling is presented and discussed
