Abstract :
GPS vehicle navigation system includes three main parts: navigation control centre, vehicle navigation terminal and VHF wireless communication network. This paper mainly introduces the design of vehicle navigation terminal. The hardware uses S3C44B0X processor, integrates POLARIS-A GPS module, and uses TL16C554 CMOS chip to extend another four UART to enhance the communication capability of this board. Embedded operating system muC/OS-II is also adopted, and the main function modules of terminal navigation software includes GPS data receiving task, orientation data processing task, processed data transmitting task, etc. We use TDMA protocol to transmit data to control centre, which is every terminal transmits its vehicle information in fixed time-slot.
