Abstract :
A novel scheme for implementing a perfect reconstruction filter bank using infinite-impulse-response (IIR) all-pass filters for the processing of infinite length input signals is described. The scheme uses double buffers to implement noncausal, stable synthesis filters operating on infinite length sequences. Finite word-length effects on the performance of the overall system are discussed, and various applications for this structure are proposed
