Abstract :
With the development of wind power, the inherent characteristic of randomness and uncertainty of wind energy would have an impressive effect on power system frequency. In this context, it is desire to analyze the power system frequency regulation ability by simulation. This paper presents a general mathematical model of power system with large-scale wind power which can analyze frequency deviation of power system. This model contains steam turbines, wind turbines, hydraulic turbines and power system primary and second frequency regulation. Besides, several examples are studied. The research shows that large-scale wind power brings pressure to power system frequency regulation.
