  • Abstract
    As the advanced distribution simulation (ADS) technique is applied widely, the large-scale complex system simulation (LCSS) is more and more valued all over the world. Credibility is the basic life line for LCSS. To assure the credibility of LCSS, it is very significant to study verification, validation and accreditation (W&A) in modeling and simulation (M&S) all the life cycle. In this paper, the methodology and process of W&A were researched, and the W&A process is focused. The W&A methodology for LCSS are represented from the theoretic point. The process modeling of W&A based on the UML is researched. Taking an example for the HLA simulation system, the W&A is studied. The practice shows that this research will give good guidance to the W&A job for LCSS, which will ensure the credibility of simulation.
