Abstract :
The basis of professional software production is a well-defined software process with clear phases and documentation rules. The authors have adopted ISO 9000-3 style software documentation which facilitates the standardisation of documents and continuous improvement of all elements of the quality system. This quality system is supported by advanced project management and version control tools which allow the reuse of any document or document template. In addition they have adopted and developed methods and tools for the most important development phases, and especially for the early phases: requirement analysis and specification. For requirements analysis they have adopted the Japanese QFD (Quality Function Deployment) method and supporting tools
