Abstract
A prototype expendable wave buoy, the IBuoy, was designed, built, and deployed. The initial design of the system, its processing algorithm, sea test results, and future modifications are presented in this paper. In addition a modified IBuoy was deployed in Spring 2012 in the Arctic with the capability to measure the depth of the seafloor below the ice.
