Abstract :
We present the last version of COSMAD: a Scilab toolbox for identification, diagnosis of changes and default localization on mechanical structures. The methods are developed for in-operation situations without measured input but apply also in the case where the input are known. COSMAD is designed for modal identification with visual inspection of the results via a GUI with specific tools to get precise and reliable results but it can be used in a fully automated way for monitoring purposes. The package offers functionalities for signal visualization, filtering, down-sampling, tracking of frequencies and damping factors over time, mode-shape visualization, MAC computation, etc. The second step for the use of this toolbox is the detection part: how to determine the possible changes of a structure and try to locate the faulty physical components. The examples shown here correspond to usual industrial applications: bridge, aircraft, space launcher, stadia.
