Abstract :
Shunt series monolithic PIN diodes are used in a number of different thin film, planar circuits to achieve very low loss in the ON state and very high isolation in the OFF state. The switch unit was realised in a number of different configurations and the effects of different design arrangements on insertion loss and isolation are studied. The planar microwave switch was realised both in microstrip and coplanar waveguide media
