Abstract :
A Ku-band MMIC upconverter with unwanted local oscillator and lower sideband signal suppression has been designed. The various possible solutions and trade-offs in the design of FET upconverter building blocks are discussed. Simulated electrical performance characteristics of the upconverter are presented. Final layout using standard foundry components is also included
