Abstract :
The blister in tire X-Ray image is the typical weak target which is not quite obvious, because the image has the asymmetric illumination on horizontal direction, and the contrast degrees between blister and background are lower than that between the body cords and background. Traditional image segmentation approach could not detect the blister efficiently. A new arithmetic can recognize the blister area based on the similarity of grayscale distribution in a small area. And then region-labeling and region-growing are used to detect the blister. It has been proved that this method is easy, not sensitive to noise interference. This method is effective to solve practical problem.
