Abstract
A wide range of instrument calibration, test and performance evaluation services are provided by Sira Test & Certification Ltd., and for over 25 years the data collected whilst providing these services has been collected and analysed. The author uses these analyses to highlight some of the most common problems associated with achieving a specified measurement uncertainty in typical industrial applications and environments
