Abstract
In this study, Au-Ti-MPS nanocatalyst was prepared by an in situ method and calcined at 673 and 913 K. The samples were then characterized using XRD, UV-visible, and transmission electron microsopy (TEM). The TEM image shows that gold particles size was approximately 20 nm. UV-visible spectra confirm the simultaneous existence of Au and Ti active centre in this catalyst. The absorption bands near 216 and 520 nm indicated that framework Ti exists in tetrahedral coordination and surface plasmon vibration in gold particles, respectively.
