  • Abstract
This article demonstrates a simple experiment based on a proper design of fiber Bragg gratings that can be used for quasi-distributed sensing purposes. Results show that the demodulation technique, which utilized a commercial optical time-domain reflectometer and some passive components, is cost-effective and offers good accuracy. A good correlation is also obtained with a reference spectrum.
