Abstract
We have developed a multiparametric lidar system by which is possible to carry out simultaneous measurements of i) atmospheric aerosols, ii) water vapour profiles, iii) lempcrature and density profiles, iv) atmospheric transmissivity, and v) main atmospheric pollutants. The system is realised by a Nd:YAG laser pumping a dye laser capable equipped with a dual wavelength device By this way rhe dye laser emission is made of two alternate (shot by shot) close wavelengths, allowing DIAL measurements of specific pollutants. We are able to simultaneously monitor seven return signals, namely wavelengths 355, 532 and 1064 nm (elastic returns from Nd:YAG fundamental, II and III harmonic), 386 and 402 nm (Raman return from N2 and H20 at 355 nm) and the two returns (λoff and spl lambda/on) for DlAL measurements.
