Abstract
In order to resolve the common problem of distribution network, a thorough study of compensation principle for unbalanced three-phase load is conducted. General compensation principle for unbalanced three-phase load is given. A reactive compensation device is designed based on it. The controller of this compensation device is TMS320F28335, mainly to control the reactive power of electric power system. The manner of capacitor group switching is taken, and the reactive power compensation is achieved. The trigger method of thyristor both on low-voltage and high-voltage situation are studied, a current-source trigger method for high-voltage system is proposed. Ultimately experiments validate that this reactive compensation device can not only balance the three-phase load, but also compensate the power factor of three-phase load to 1.
