Abstract :
A novel 50-GHz interleaved bidirectional transmission system is proposed and experimentally demonstrated using a four-port interleaver to enable unidirectional amplification in a recirculating loop. After 500-Km, < 2.5-dB power penalty has been achieved at 10-Gb/s.
