Abstract
In this paper we present the results on the spectral tuning of LPGs utilising ferrofluidic liquids. Ferrofluid is a stable colloidal suspension of sub-domain magnetic particles in a liquid carrier. In the present work the magnetic fluid acts as the ambient material at the position of the LPG thus modification in the optical characteristics of the fluid will result in tuning of the LPG.
