Abstract
This study develops a seeded X-ray laser with a high-order harmonic (HH) radiation source and driven by two-color laser field. Results reveal the generated HH lines in combination with pressure tuning overlap with the Ni-like Kr at 37.8 eV (32-order), Y at 51.7 eV (44-order) and Zr at 56.3 eV (48-order) X-ray laser transitions. With this scheme, strong even and odd harmonics are generated in a wide spectral range in Ar gas suitable for seeding Ni-like X-ray lasers. The improvement of spatial beam profile and energy stability are also possible through this newly developed seeded X-ray laser.
