Abstract
This paper presents a novel dynamic channel assignment (DCA) technique for cellular networks using noisy chaotic neural network. In this technique, a novel energy function is formulated, which considers the three interference constraint conditions among cells and the required channels number of each cell, and simultaneously minimizes the total number of assigned channels to improve spectrum utilization. In the end, a typical 49-cell cellular network with 70 channels is examined to demonstrate the validity of the proposed technique.
