Abstract :
In any anti-collision application where automatic braking is applied in response to detection of a collision risk, a very high probability of detection must be accompanied by a very low level of false alarms. The paper describes a radar specially developed for reverse protection on quarry vehicles, which has now been adapted for a variety of other applications where its special features are particularly useful
