Abstract
This work demonstrates the use of time-stretch enhanced recording (TiSER) oscilloscope in capturing rogue waves created through stochastic nonlinear phenomena. In the experimental setup, optical rogue waves are generated, add them to pseudorandom binary sequence (PRBS) electronic data at 12 Gbps, and modulate the combination onto chirped optical carrier pulses.
