  • Abstract
The Teaching Company Scheme provides a possible mechanism which can be used in the context of education in RF engineering enabling the academic community to work more effectively with industry. The basis of the scheme is to establish a working partnership between the company and a university with the relevant expertise by developing and implementing a business plan or project via a high calibre graduate, an Associate. Historically the scheme has supported a wide range of activities such as management techniques, production processes through to total quality management, IT and marketing. Few programmes have been established to date building on the research work associated with RF engineering. The author confirms that the Teaching Company Scheme is available to support such work and also emphasizes the significance which is put on the education of the Associate within the programme
