Since January 1st 1993, the Common Market with its new face, the Unique Market, has come into force, at least on the level of principles. Here, in terms of electrical installation engineering in Europe, the author presents a general oversight of the possible problems, which may be classified under the following categories: (1) standards (wiring rules; equipment standards, mixing of different wiring, rules); (2) regulations (of several natures and aims); and (3) approval of contractors
