Abstract
We interpret our results on the enhancement of the E(TO)9 mode by a reduction of the high symmetry of this mode that resulted in very small Raman cross sections. Since the effects are present in all samples, we exclude defects as the origin of the observed. We will report on the details of the polarization and composition dependence of the changes as well as their interpretation in terms of intrinsic symmetry breaking.
