Abstract
The key product areas for A/D LSI are the telecommunications and the data acquisition and conversion systems. Recent advances in each of these areas with regards to the design approach and the technology chosen will be reviewed. Accented will be such major factors as the future of compatible A/D technologies, namely: which technology trend, MOS or bipolar/I2L, will dominate; which technology should be chosen and when; and what are the unique partitioning and interfacing problems associated with each.
