Abstract :
A new simulation model of photovoltaic module is presented in this paper, which is based on double-exponential equation. The proposed model accepts irradiance and temperature as variable parameters, can exactly simulate the current-voltage (I/V) characteristic of photovoltaic module. And a MatlabTM program for the model is also designed. The program is more accurate and need less initial input values. To satisfy the new simulation model, a particular typical 60 W photovoltaic module is chosen for experiment. The results show that the simulation curves and experimental data have excellent correspondence.
