Abstract :
This paper describes a low cost scheme for controlling the speed of a three phase induction motor. The motor is connected to a single phase power supply via a two element phase balancer. Speed control is achieved by varying the supply voltage using the phase angle control. Theoretical analysis is supported by experimental measurements
