Abstract :
This paper investigates the metal nanocomposite glass and its anisotropic nonlinear optical properties. The samples being investigated are glass containing silver nanoparticles, which are prepared by the ion-exchange technique and subsequent reduction and aggregation. Single beam Z-scan technique is used for the nonlinear characterisation of the metal nanocomposite glass, which in turn allows for the determination of amplitude and phase nonlinearities simultaneously.
