Abstract :
Reports on the new generation of microwave ovens. Solid-state-generated RF amplifiers based on solid-state semiconductor devices readily provide all the control and feedback mechanisms currently lacking in common magnetrons, creating an alternative method for heating and power delivery. With these transformative amplifiers, any parameter of the RF signal (frequency, amplitude, phase, pulsewidth, and modulation) is finally under the designer???s full control and can be tuned to an application???s advantage.
