Abstract
This paper presents a linear switched reluctance actuator of cylindrical form. In comparison with the linear cylindrical variable-reluctance configuration of the stepping actuator previously reported (1987), the one presented here benefits from having a simpler nonsegmented moving part and identical magnetically uncoupled phases
