Abstract :
Service discovery is vital in pervasive computing environments, where a great number of devices and software components collaborate unobtrusively and provide numerous services. The paper proposes a novel context-aware service discovery for pervasive environments. The services are modeled as semantic Web services in OWLS extended with context information. The paper presents a context-aware service matching algorithm and gives the service discovery system architecture. The proposed method is implemented as a prototype system and the results demonstrate the effectiveness.
