Abstract
The sugar cane is a kind of main economic crops in South China, so it´s very important to exploit sugar cane harvester that is suit to the topography and physiognomy of South China. A conceptual design method for key parts of sugar cane harvester is proposed by virtual design and simulation in this paper. The function principium solution and design process model of the key parts is composed by the conceive design method (Beitz). The principium solutions are innovated design, analysed and evaluated by simulation, so virtual conceptual prototype of the sugar cane that satisfies function requirement is built. The optimal solution of the proposed virtual conceptual prototype is obtained by structure analysis and kinetic simulation. The stimulation results show that the proposed method and design thoughts are effective for conceptual design of complicated machine system
