Abstract
Pulsed optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) are efficient sources of broadly tunable coherent radiation. With the recent developmenu of new nonlinear crystals and efficient pulsed high average power NdYAG Lasers, it is now possible to pump OPOs at high repetition rate (from 1 kHz to 10 MHz). The OPO we have developed is pumped by either the second harmonic or the fundamental frequency of a 1 Mlz repetition rate Nd:YAG laser.
