Abstract
The Brazilian Digital TV System, known as SBTVD or International System for Digital Television (ISDTV), is a Digital TV standard based in the Japanese standard with some modifications like the use of the H.264/AVC standard for the video coding. To implements the ISDTV middleware, named Ginga, was created the Ginga Code Development Network (GingaCDN) project. One of the components defined by the project is responsible to decode video, audio and subtitles streams and exhibit it in the display. The component is named Media Processing. This work aims to present two Media Processing implementations, one using the libVLC library and the other using the xine-lib backend library and presents, also, some performance tests in different video resolutions, bit rates and frames per second.
