Abstract :
Chip-level differential detection has been proposed and studied in frequency-nonselective fast fading channels in (Cavallini, et al., (1997)). However, the performance in multipath Rayleigh fading channels has not been studied so far. In this paper, we evaluate the impact of multipath channels on the performances of two types of chip-level differential detections. The bit error rate (BER) results are investigated via simulations. The performance of a conventional symbol-level differential detection is also studied as a comparison.
