Abstract
This paper investigates a novel method of transmitting power and data in a pair of lines by means of power/signal time division multiplexing (PS-TDM). The principle of the PS-TDM system, including the system structure and definition of the transmission time slot, is introduced. The circuits and communication method are discussed in detail. At last, a novel soft-switching circuit is employed to solve the transmission line reflection problem which is initiated by the mismatch of transmission line. The effectiveness of this method is verified by experimental result.
